On Tuesday morning we had a meeting in which we all introduced ourselves (by the way, all ten of us are girls) and Rajeev talked about the plans for the next few days.

A bus took us to a town called Lanavala and the ride was nice, after being in Mumbai it was good to start seeing some greenery.
I kept thinking how happy I was to have brought my boots, they are really heavy and when I was weeding through my luggage I almost left them, but looking at all the other girls’ bags I’m still a bit embarrassed, they don’t have half as much junk as I do! Then again they aren’t on the road for 6 months, but still!
When we got to Lonavala we had a meal and I don't know what this dish was, but it was delicious!

I didn't like this one, though.

Then we went to our hotel, I'm sharing rooms with Kylie again. We are in a joint bed and when we asked for a room with two beds the man working at the hotel seemed to think it was an odd request and said you don’t want to share? And we said well no, but can’t we just have a bed that’s a bit bigger? They ended up giving us a new room which had two beds, but everything was damp and smelled moldy! Oh well it's a tradeoff, I guess that's what happens in the rainy season, at least we could roll over without bumping into each other!
We walked to the market to get some last minute things for our walk, and that felt like a hike, how are we going to get through this trek?

People just stare stare stared at us, but they had good reason. I thought we looked like Rajeev’s baby ducks, it must be weird to see an Indian man followed around by ten foreign girls, it's pretty funny!

Then we came home, napped more and had a really good dinner.

I’m excited about the trek tomorrow, but nervous as well. Off to bed again, we have to be up early.
I want to know everything about your India experience! When I see you we can compare our experiences :) because that bed thing happened to me and my friend as well. Bisous
