More hard work for us today, there's so much debris on the fences! I'm happy because we got into a good work flow.
High point: the chef made some scones for us as a morning snack, complete with cream and jam, they were delicious! Unfortunately I went a bit overboard and had 3, which was not fun.
After lunch we went to another area and had to move the fallen fence by holding onto the posts and raising them all together. We had to be very careful because the fence was long and the posts were very heavy, the barbed wire was rusted. Once we had the fence, we took the barbed wire off the posts and tried to save it for the new fence.
After work, farmer Kelly gave a really sweet speech about how much he appreciated our help and what a difference we made, it made us feel really good. The hard work was totally worth it. We took a group shot so we could always remember him!
Farmer Kelly's mom has a home on the other side of the property, and he invited us over for tea. Later, his children came and we got to meet them. We're going to miss this guy.
